Kalindi Winfield

Kalindi Winfield, Senior Associate at GBAO, lends her expertise in qualitative and quantitative research to organizations and candidates from coast to coast and abroad, specializing in ad testing, online methodologies, and multimodal research. Her research has led to numerous successful ballot initiative outcomes, shed new light on the Asian American vote, driven campaign strategy for AAPI and southern candidates, and assisted labor unions advocating on behalf of janitors, health and home care workers, public workers, teachers, and other service industry employees.

She has managed surveys and focus groups for Natural Resources Defense Council and J Street and has twice helped elect Oregon Governor Kate Brown. Kalindi’s international work includes polling in Venezuela for GBAO and projects in Yemen, Israel, Ireland, and Estonia with Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research.

Kalindi came to polling after two cycles at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, where she coordinated national efforts in candidate recruitment and handled top-tier competitive races for the Committee’s Independent Expenditure. She has experience in many forms of progressive political action including opposition research, media relations, and campaign organizing; running a congressional primary campaign in Georgia in 2018.

Kalindi holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University, master’s degree in world history from Columbia University, and master’s degree in international history from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She was raised both in the state of Georgia and India, to which she owes her fluency in Hindi and knowledge of Urdu.
